Microsoft announced the launch of a new “Bing Image Creator” tool, which will integrate OpenAI’s DALLE visual creation capability into Microsoft’s Bing search engine and Edge browser, allowing users to quickly access AI image generation at any time. Microsoft is continuing to ride the generative AI trend.
As you can see in this illustration, Microsoft has effectively integrated DALL-E into your daily routine, making it simpler than ever to produce distinctive visuals for whatever you require within your process. According to Microsoft:
“Powered by an advanced version of the DALL∙E model from our partners at OpenAI, Bing Image Creator allows you to create an image simply by using your own words to describe the picture you want to see. Now you can generate both written and visual content in one place, from within chat.”
Microsoft’s Edge browser will soon have this choice built in, enabling instant visual creation whenever needed.
With the hype surrounding generative AI reaching new heights seemingly every other week, that may very well turn out to be a stroke of genius for the software giant, which is now becoming more and more relevant in Search and web browsing while also pressuring Google to reveal its own AI capabilities in its tools and demonstrate its support for generative AI.
However, if these new tools have the effect that many are anticipating, Microsoft and OpenAI are currently gaining from first-mover advantage, which could ultimately prove to be a crucial turning point.
