LinkedIn’s next changes have been previewed, including new job category filters that reflect popular career moves and enhanced search capabilities for product listings in the app. Currently, the app has over 90,000 active product listings and with this update, you can list your business products on their own pages on LinkedIn. First, let’s talk about LinkedIn’s new job search filters. Soon, LinkedIn will test new job listing categories based on region, company, position flexibility, and more in order to better reflect how people seek their next employment. In order to make it easier for you to find more possibilities that fit various interests, LinkedIn’s job categories will divide listed roles into several, trend-aligned divisions. See the example below. According to LinkedIn: “We often hear from professionals that they would like to discover and explore new career opportunities, even if they are not actively pursuing another job. We’ve seen an increase in members who are ‘casually’ exploring job opportunities, especially ones that align more with their values and preferences (e.g. work-life balance, flexible work arrangements, up-skilling and career growth). To help professionals discover what’s possible for them, we are testing a new showcase of personalized job collections that don’t require members to articulate their needs in a search box.” LinkedIn mentions that finding innovative ways to develop or change your job has been a growing concern for many workers. It will be fascinating to see whether product search actually develops into a more significant component of the LinkedIn experience as this might present new revenue-generation potential for companies as well as LinkedIn itself. These are just a few of the updates LinkedIn plans to implement in 2023 as it strengthens its position as the go-to professional social network and location for discussing job and career prospects. And when more users think about leaving Twitter with a lack of assurance regarding the platform’s future, LinkedIn may wind up benefiting since many professional talks may move there instead. Although LinkedIn doesn’t provide the same real-time interaction as Twitter, it does offer a variety of audio and video event alternatives that may take the place of Twitter conversations and the like. Maybe. Before we fully grasp Twitter’s future direction, there is still more work to be done.
Twitter’s Verified Service with Colors to Begin on Friday says Elon Musk
Elon Musk mentioned in his recent tweet that they are planning to restart Twitter’s verified service with colored checks for individuals, businesses, and governments on Friday 2nd December. Earlier a botched first rollout resulted in an increase in users impersonating celebrities and brands on the network. Musk assigned colors to the categories on Friday: A Twitter gold check for companies, a grey for governments, and a blue check for people including celebrities. “Painful, but necessary.” Musk said, adding that verified accounts would be manually validated before a check is enabled. According to another tweet on Friday, the new $8-per-month service would let users have a smaller, secondary logo of their organizations if they are confirmed by them. “Longer explanation next week.” Read: 10 Steps You Should Follow to Build Your Content Strategy in 2022-23 The social media site postponed its release on Monday to make it more secure since the service is intended to help Twitter boost income at a time when Musk is striving to keep advertisers after purchasing the firm for $44 billion last month. Musk’s subscription service, which he described as a “great leveler” was suspended on November 11 as bogus accounts proliferated, forcing the world’s richest man to restore the “official” label to certain users. For example, one user impersonating drugmaker Eli Lilly and Co tweeted that insulin would be free, causing the company’s stock to plummet and prompting them to issue an apology. Because of the uproar, some corporations, including General Motors and United Airlines, have paused or reduced their advertising on the site. According to Elon Musk, user growth on Twitter is at an all-time high. We will keep you posted about Twitter’s Latest news and updates on our website and on our social media networks. Keep visiting.
WhatsApp Launches New Business Search Features for Users
WhatsApp launches new business search features in some regions that allow users to browse for businesses, contact them, and make purchases without ever leaving the app. On November 17, this new WhatsApp update was revealed by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg who was at the first-ever WhatsApp Business Summit in Brazil. He mentioned that WhatsApp has now allowed users an in-app facility to search for businesses – by category or name. These features are currently under testing and are only available in a few countries including Brazil, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Mexico, and Colombia. As stated by WhatsApp: “We’ve built business search in a way that preserves people’s privacy. What you search for is processed in a way that cannot be linked back to your account. To start, we’re bringing the ability to search for a business to Brazil, Indonesia, Mexico, and the UK where people can find companies using our WhatsApp Business Platform. In Brazil, the search will help people find small businesses as well.” The new business search functionality in WhatsApp is accessible through the in-app’s search function. This search tool will include a mini-map to help you find local companies, as well as category filters and verified company accounts. This will make accessing your numerous in-app buying choices easier. WhatsApp also stated that its payment service would be expanded to other locations, in addition to the business search capabilities. Payment is presently accessible only in India, but WhatsApp will begin testing the service in Brazil soon. “Ultimately we want people to be able to make a secure payment right from a chat with their credit or debit card. We recently launched this experience in India, and we’re excited to now be testing this in Brazil with multiple payment partners. This seamless checkout experience will be a game-changer for people and businesses looking to buy and sell on WhatsApp without having to go to a website, open another app or pay in person.” These new updates might be a significant boost for businesses, as they will make their products and services available to millions of consumers through the platform.
